1What is HirePro?
HirePro helps Cape Town restaurants, hotels and caterers hire hospitality staff. Book waiters, bartenders and chefs by the hour, or find someone to hire permanently for a flat R200 per candidate. Business accounts are usually approved within 24 hours.
2How much does it cost to hire a waiter in Cape Town?
Each role has one hourly rate, and you pay that rate times the hours you book. There is no placement fee and nothing is added at checkout. You see the full itemised price before you confirm a booking.
3How quickly can I book staff?
A shift must start at least 3 hours after you book it. Staff get a set time to reply: 1 hour for last-minute shifts, up to 48 hours for shifts days away. Book 48 to 72 hours ahead for the widest choice.
4What staff can I hire on HirePro?
Waiters, bartenders, baristas, chefs, runners, hosts, scullers and cleaners, event staff and event managers. There are 13 roles in total, including premium waiters and bartenders for fine dining and upscale events.
5How does HirePro vet its staff?
Two people on our team review each applicant. We check ID and right to work in South Africa, review qualifications, interview them and call references from past workplaces. Most roles need at least a year of hospitality experience. We decide which roles each person can work.
6What happens if someone cancels a shift?
We offer the shift to other available staff nearby straight away. You can also invite one of your favourites. If nobody can take it, the charge for that shift is credited back to you.
7Which areas does HirePro cover?
Shift booking covers 11 areas in the Western Cape, from the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard to the Northern Suburbs, Helderberg, Stellenbosch and Paarl. Permanent hiring works anywhere in South Africa.
8How are staff paid?
Staff are paid weekly by EFT, every Tuesday, for the shifts they worked the week before. The business pays HirePro, so staff never have to chase a venue for their money.
9Is HirePro a staffing agency?
HirePro works differently from a traditional staffing agency. You choose the person yourself from real profiles and book shift by shift, with no long-term contract. For a permanent hire you pay a flat R200 for a candidate's contact details. There is no placement fee.
